  • Specification

The PicoSource PG900 Series offers differential picosecond pulse generators with both Step Recovery Diode and Tunnel Diode output configurations. Models such as the PG911 and PG914 provide Step Recovery Diode outputs for < 60 ps rise time and variable amplitude, while the PG912 and PG914 offer Tunnel Diode outputs for < 40 ps rise time with fixed amplitude. These pulse generators are ideal for high-speed testing and can partner with devices like the PicoScope 9300 Series 20 GHz Sampling Oscilloscope for tasks such as network analysis, spectral measurements, and jitter determination.

  • Step Recovery Diode outputs for < 60 ps rise time with 2.5V to 6V variable amplitude (PG911/PG914)

  • Tunnel Diode outputs for < 40 ps rise time with > 200mV fixed amplitude (PG912/PG914)

  • Dual outputs: Adjustable amplitude (PG911/PG914) or fixed amplitude (PG912/PG914)

  • ±1 ns in 1 ps steps timing deskew for precise pulse alignment

  • 200 ns to 4 μs pulse width and 1 μs to 1 s internal clock period

  • < 3 ps RMS jitter relative to external trigger for superior timing precision

  • Inter-series N(f) – SMA(m) adapter included with Tunnel Diode pulse heads

  • SMA(m-f) attenuator included for PG911/PG914 (Step Recovery Diode outputs)

  • Ideal for TDR/TDT network analysis, semiconductor testing, gigabit interconnect testing, and radar applications
